All You Need to Know About Dubai Tourist Visa for Indians

Since the COVID has settled and life has begun to come back to normal, people have started travelling again, wanting to go out for vacations. One place that has been attracting a lot of tourists is Dubai, especially since the Dubai expo 2022 is being hosted. For those planning to go to Dubai and are wondering whether getting a visa for Dubai is difficult or not? The answer is that getting a Dubai tourist visa for Indians is pretty easy.

The Documents Indians needed to get a Dubai visa are as follows:

  1. First and foremost is a passport with a minimum validity of six months and above. This is a very important aspect to keep in mind because if the minimum validity criteria are not met then the visa is not issued.
  2. Passport photos that have been taken in the last six months are also needed. These pictures need to be taken against a white backdrop.
  3. Next is to have a return flight ticket. Although, nobody really asks for one but if you have an itinerary and proof of accommodation carry that along too.

Once the process for a Dubai visa application is done, attach all these documents with the visa application form and pay the visa fees. The visa usually arrives within a week. It is mostly valid for two months depending on what kind of visa was applied for. That means the individual travelling has sixty days to enter Dubai post which the visa expires. Once entered Dubai within sixty days, there onwards that individual can stay for thirty days.

COVID Documents

As per the new guidelines and rules for travelling during these post-pandemic times, they may ask for COVID-related documents too. There are four important documents to carry along which are:

  1. A quarantine undertaking form
  2. International health insurance
  3. RTPCR test showing negative results
  4. Health declaration form.
One can apply for a Dubai visa through a travelling agency or even on a few travel websites. These professional visa service companies are great at getting visas processed, especially if you have had trouble getting a visa before. Depending on the length of stay on the visa the price differs from anywhere between twenty-five hundred to fifteen thousand.

Indians Residing in UK or US

Another key piece of information for a few people to whom it may apply to. Getting a visiting visa to Dubai for Indian nationals who have a passport and Green card issued by the UK or even the US is extremely easy, as they get a visa on arrival. Also, if one has a valid UK, Schengen, or US-issued valid visa and a passport can get a visa on arrival too. Though this visa is only valid for fourteen days maximum.

Okay to Board

Indians travelling to the UAE require an Okay to Board permission on their visa before they board the plane. This is a compulsion for all South Asians going to the UAE. Once your visa comes through, on the day of your travel, the airline checks your visa and gives you the Okay to Board status on your plane ticket’s PNR. With the Okay to Board, you won’t be able to travel to Dubai.

Ever since international travel has started again, Indians have been lining up for a visiting visa to Dubai as the city is their most popular international tourist destination. However, owing to COVID and lockdown, the rules have changed a bit. Therefore, you have to ensure that all your documents and vaccinations have to be in order. You can also take the help of professional visa companies who are great at getting visas. You will have a hassle-free experience with them.
